WhatsApp Adds Short Video Message Feature

Meta-owned WhatsApp recently announces the addition of a fresh new feature to the app, allowing users to send short video messages. Now users are provided with the alternative of recording short videos other than text messages. These real-time videos can be extended to a maximum of 60 seconds. The global launch of this feature has already been started and very soon users across the world will be able to avail this facility.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO, of Meta, launched the latest update in a Facebook post demonstrating the new feature via a short video.  He illustrated everything about the newly launched feature that allows users to shoot 60-second-long video messages on WhatsApp alongside personalizing birthday wishes and other good news.

Zuckerberg in his blog post informed that the above-mentioned feature is in the initial phase of global rolling out for iOS and Android. Users can get the latest updated version of WhatsApp through App Store and Google Play Store. Also, the firm claims like other WhatsApp messages these video messages will be end-to-end encrypted and completely secure for communications.

How to Use Video Messaging Feature?

Sending video messages and voice messages are alike. Users have to tap - switch to video mode, then hold for recording the message. After creating, you can share the video message. The feature also gives the option to lock the recording by swiping it up. During the chat, if the recipient opens the message, it will play without sound. The sound can be activated by tapping on the video message.
