“We Look Forward to Strengthening Our Position as One of The Top Global Cyber Security Organisations”

Cyber Security is one of the major challenges for us as we move towards Digital India mission. The role of effective cyber security companies is very much required to pursue our digital journey. Kaspersky, the global leading firm, understands their responsibility and working towards offering safe digital experience to all consumers across India. Dipesh Kaura, General Manager, Kaspersky (South Asia), interacted with Telecom Today to share his opinion and channel plans for year 2020.

Q: How do you see the brand's overall business growth in CY 2019? 

A: We have seen positive YoY growth for Kaspersky in both B2B and B2C sectors. As the nation moves towards digitization the need for cybersecurity will only grow bigger and businesses are placing a higher focus in terms of security and we are glad that we have been a part of their cyber security journey.

Q: What will be your key focused products line-up in the year 2020? 

A: Our comprehensive security portfolio includes leading endpoint protection and a number of specialised security solutions and services to fight sophisticated and evolving digital threats. In 2020, our focus will be in security operational centre, Large enterprises, BFSI , Governments and industrial area, which includes key products such as Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack platform (KATA), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Sandbox, Threat Intelligence Reporting and Services, Managed Services Provider Partnerships, Security Cloud and Industrial Cybersecurity solutions.

Q: Where do you see Kaspersky in the Indian security solution market by the end of 2020?

A: We look forward to strengthening our position as one of the top global cyber security organisations in South Asia, especially since we are armed with a comprehensive portfolio loaded with EDR, THREAT INTEL, IoT, blockchain, Kaspersky Anti drone technology, and fraud prevention solutions to manage advanced and ever evolving cyber threats. To assist us in the journey, we have already created a strong ecosystem of partners who are being empowered by niche cyber trainings as well as hands on experience on professional services so that the end user can enjoy seamless and carefree cyber prevention experience to embrace future technology.

Q: How are you working to create adequate awareness among consumers to adopt Kaspersky's security solutions?

A: Creating awareness has always been an important step in creating a secure cyber ecosystem. We have always believed in creating strong partner networks that will take our products to our customers. We also have a Global Research and Analysis Team Security Researcher that is based locally in India. Hence we focus on giving multiple training to our partners and updating them of the various threats and how our solutions can help secure the consumers.

Q: What will be your channel strategy to drive substantial growth?

A: We believe that it is essential to have a well-defined channel strategy for a successful penetration and distribution of any product or service to a target market or potential customer and it's even more prominent for the cyber security domain. We have identified our focus markets for the B2B domain and have hand-picked our channel partners that align with our GTM for those markets. Since we aim to double our growth in the B2B segment, our channel support and channel empowerment strategy is targeted according to the business vertical and the alliance model of our selected channel. Similarly, our channel strategy and channel engagement programs are customised for the SMB and the mid-market as well.
