Sony India announced a new 4K Handycam® featuring a universally acclaimed in-built gimbal mechanism, Balanced Optical SteadyShot™ technology, for capturing smooth, natural and high-quality video footage. The FDR-AX43 has been developed for content creators and vloggers who want their footage to demonstrate a refined quality that will stand the test of time.

The AX-43 is supported with balance optical SteadyShot, high resolution 4K movie recording and high-quality sound with a unique mic, thus being a perfect handycam for vlogging. The AX-43 has unique Balanced Optical Steady Shot with internal gimbal mechanism which allows you to shoot shake free while walking and is about 13 times more effective than other optical systems. The algorithm lets you shoot steady movies even at full zoom where one would usually experience shaky footage.

The Exmor R CMOS sensor enhances image quality, reduces noise in dark environments and enables soft background defocusing, while the BIONZ X image processing engine achieves more naturally vivid and lifelike images and faster processing.
20x optical zoom and Clear Image Zoom of 30x for 4K / 40x for HAD
The AX43 lens has a wide angle of 26.8 mm, allowing more of a subject to fit in the frame. It lets you capture a wide variety of scenes with the 20x optical zoom (26.8-536.0mm; 16:9 mode), plus 30x (4K)7 or 40x (HD) Clear Image Zoom and 250x digital zoom.
Microphone structure with three mic capsules sound gathering for advanced sound quality
The FDR-43 comes with a built-in multi-capsule microphone for premium audio connectivity. Alternatively, a connector is provided for an external microphone for pro-like movie production.
Long battery life and power supply from AC adaptor
The AX43 uses a high-capacity battery to enable recording for long periods – up to continuous recording time 235 mins* with the supplied battery, making it an ideal handycam for outdoor vlogging.
New Highlight Movie Maker which creates short movie in-handycam without any need for post-production editing
This handycam lets you streamline your movie editing with Highlight Movie Maker. One can add highlight points to key moments while recording, then let the camcorder automatically generate a finished 4K or HD movie – with transitions synced to your chosen soundtrack.
ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* zoom lens with wide angle of 26.8mm
The ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* lens has a widest angle of 26.8 mm, allowing more of a subject to fit in the frame. Capture a wide variety of scenes with the 20x optical zoom.
