“Kingston is Known For Giving Effective Value to Its Customers”

Kingston Technology and its gaming arm HyperX both have witnessed of wonderful growth in the calendar year 2019. They brought innovative devices to aid the customers and maintained their legacy of being at the forefront in the market. Vishal Parekh, Marketing Director, Kingston Technology & HyperX, APAC Region – India & Philippines shares his entire roadmap for year 2020 through Telecom Today.

Q: How do you see the brand's overall business growth in CY 2019? 

A: Kingston is a lifestyle technology brand and has been a strong supporter of communities globally. With over 72% market share in Memory market, Kingston Technology has been an industry leader for over a decade. Kingston also holds the number #1 position in the SSD channel market owning 23% market share. We have grown multi-fold over years, with our strengths in continuous Innovations, Quality control, Promotions and Service. We have seen growth across all product lines including DRAM, SSDs and embedded solutions and the coming year we plan to exceed the benchmark thereby strengthen its position as a market leader.

Q: What will be your overall business growth or target revenue for CY 2020? 

A: Kingston's growth has been good globally as the consumption of data and computing devices increases. As per industry agencies, Kingston has set records in the industry for holding the number 1 position in the Memory market. The company proudly positions itself as the third largest supplier of SSDs in the world, by supplying 13.3million SSDs in merely six months.  With our focus on driving awareness towards the newer 3D NAND and NVMe technologies, we plan to empower the customers with durability & speed at low costs.

Q: What will be your key focused products line-up in the year 2020? 

A: Kingston is not just a product company, but a brand known for giving effective value to its customers. Our focus will continue to be on creating content that is easy-to-understand and to drive more awareness campaigns for newer technologies – be it with respect to Memory, Storage, Security, Mobility or Embedded solutions categories. HyperX, on the other hand, is also going solid with the growth and strong foothold in India. Recently we launched the Cloud Alpha S and Alloy Origins which is getting a superb response. In the coming years we plan to announce more products for the comfort and ease of the customers.

Q: What will be your channel strategy to drive substantial growth?

A: India is an emerging market and keeping this in mind Kingston has formulated a robust strategy which has helped in strengthening the relationship with the channel partners. We believe in providing first-hand information to our channel partners for a good connect and smooth relationship. Also, with our training and schemes, we provide market information and product details along with solving their queries. For 2020, we will work with our channel partners and introduce some more exciting products, marketing promotional campaigns, innovative strategies for them. Further we plan to concentrate our focus to Tier 2 cities.

Q: How do you take care of service support commitment for your loyal customers? 

A: Kingston is one of the very few brands to have one of the largest and most extensive service networks across the country. With some of the most rigorous testing processes in place, Kingston provides a 'Lifetime Warranty' on its Memory and Flash card products. This makes the brand promise to customers more validated. By providing top class after sales service, Kingston has firmly established itself as a leader in after sales service and support.
