“ESET Will Continue Its Efforts in Strengthening Its PAN India Presence”

The company has prepared a very aggressive product & channel plans for year 2020. Parvinder Walia, Sales & Marketing Director, Asia Pacific & Japan, ESET interacted with Telecom Today to share his entire game plan.

Q: How do you see the brand's overall business growth in CY 2019?  

A: ESET has had a successful 2019 and we have done a lot of groundwork behind the scenes based on continuous and very valuable feedback from the market. With the addition of local human resources, we now work even closer with our channel partners and resellers. This has helped us understand the challenges faced by partners and security market landscape to align our support and go-to-market strategy accordingly.  Combination of channel alignment, expansion and introduction of new products in the market have contributed towards double-digit growth for the year in both B2B and B2C Segments.

Q: What will be your overall business growth or target revenue for CY 2020?  

A: We want to continue the momentum from 2019 into 2020, by focusing on partner enablement, technical evangelisation and enhancing our product portfolio to service the ever-growing security needs of consumers and business in India.

Q: What will be your key focused product line-up in the year 2020? 

A: We will be introducing the brand-new offering, ESET Enterprise Inspector, an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tool, which provides real-time data for analysis and prevention of APTs and zero day attacks from ESET'S award-winning Endpoint Security platform. This solution is fully customisable, enabling customers to tailor the solution to their needs. From a consumer standpoint, we have already introduced the 2020 Edition of an advanced suite of products, which include ESET NOD32 Antivirus, ESET Internet Security and ESET Smart Security Premium, merges low impact on system resources and renowned high performance with the best mix of detection, speed and usability. One of the new and improved features are UFEI Scanner and Connected Home Monitor. The Connected Home Monitor feature includes IoT vulnerability detection, a router-connected smart devices test, and a catalogue list of connected devices on your network.

Q: What will be your channel strategy to drive substantial growth? 

A: ESET will continue to be channel partner focused organisation. We have divided our B2B channels into three segments i.e. SMB, Enterprise and MSP/MSSP, allowing us to allocate our resources and efforts better accordingly. We are working with various channel partners via our B2B Distributor Technobind to strengthen our capabilities in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and MSP services for enterprises. Currently, we are working on strengthen our presence in the north and south India. For consumer business, ESET will also continue its efforts in strengthening its PAN India presence via our B2C Retail business partner, Amity Infosoft. To counter the challenges faced by Retail partners, Amity and ESET have developed a web-based (https://www.amitybiz.net) one-stop partner portal for retailers/resellers. With this portal, partners will able to have more transparency and visibility into their business online. This includes inventory management, information about their customers, renewals database, incentives and channel schemes in Realtime.
