“ECS is Committed to Offer Best-in-Class Products to the Customers”

ECS is one of the market leaders in India currently, who are offering smart PC solutions and helping organisations of all sizes to kick start their digital journey. ECS is catering to the emerging need of portable PC solutions through its cost-effective mini PCs under its LIVA brand. In an interaction with DT, Rajshekhar Bhatt, Country Manager India, ECS shares his growth roadmap and channel plans for year 2020.

Q: How do you see the brand's overall business growth in CY 2019? 

A: The year 2019 was a very profitable year for ECS as we attained quite good growth despite many challenges that came into our journey. The market has been very tough so far but our determination is strong enough that helps us in sustaining our growth. We are very much focused towards maintaining the quality of our products. We have positioned ourselves as a market leader in the Indian market, thanks to our focus on SIs for specific application-based offerings. Also, to reach the wider market and large customer base across India, we have expanded our team who are skilled as well as proficient. Our mini PC brand LIVA continues to grow owing to the quality products offered by ECS. The reason for success is moving away from the conventional ways of selling PC & instead provide hardware and solutions based on customers' demand & application.

Q: What will be your overall business growth or target revenue for CY 2020? 

A: Our roadmap for 2020 is to find new opportunities in tier II-III-IV cities to grow our revenue. We see huge potential in these cities as the demand for technology products are constantly rising day by day. Meanwhile, competition in the market is increasing very swiftly. Therefore, the entire brands are changing their strategies and coming up with unique business models to grab every small opportunity. Today, this is the demand for changing market landscape and you cannot survive with conventional business strategies. In order to take ECS to new heights, we have set a goal to almost double the numbers in comparison to 2019, with a well-defined product plan.

Q: What will be your key focused product line-up /verticals in the year 2020? 

A: Today customers demand good quality products and ECS is committed to offer them best-in-class products. Our product strategy for 2020 keeps this promise alive. Our focus will be to make our wide range of products available for customers. The product range that we will be presenting throughout this new calendar year consists of Mini PC, AIO, IPC, content access device & motherboards. Also, the major verticals which will be on top priority for ECS are education, BFSI, MOG, Service Industry and BPO.

Q: What will be your channel strategy to drive substantial growth?

A: A big part of our success goes to our channel community that works outstandingly despite tough market conditions. Through our large channel network, we are present in all towns & cities across India. To achieve our set goals and increase our market share, we will continue to add more partners. We keep healthy relationship with our channel partners and we regularly organize partners meet to train them about our products and market strategies. We also believe in sharing success stories & learn from one another to replicate the same across India. Also, we want to go beyond popular segment and explore additional opportunities where computing is desired but not the top agenda for those verticals. We are always ahead in supporting our channel partners and this year also we will extend all possible support to safeguard their interest and to work together for consolidated growth.

Q: How do you take care of service support for your loyal customers?  

A: We feel very obliged to our partners that provide the best class services to a large customer base.  RP tech is our exclusive distributor and service provider. RP tech is currently offering services in 50+ town across India. Also, we have an additional dedicated service centre for our mid to large SI customers who are managed directly by ECS. As per requirement and need, we keep on investing to scale up our service infrastructure.
