Rajan Anandan, VP, Google India & SEA has stepped down from his position.
Mr. Anandan will be serving till the end of April 2019 and Vikas Agnihotri, Director-sales at Google India will take on the responsibilities in interim role until Google finds a new executive.Rajan Anandan has served over 8 years at tech giant Google, he was responsible for expanding company's reach and user base across the region. He has played key role in driving Google's business and accelerating its growth over the years.
Announcing his resignation, Mr. Rajan said in a tweet, ""8 amazing years. 850million internet users across India and SEA. Many billions of revenue and fastest growing region in the world. Incredible team that thinks big and executes superbly. Thank you @GoogleIndia #GoogleSEA. Loved every minute."

Moving forward in the search of a new challenging role, Mr. Rajan will be joining Sequoia India as its Managing Director. He is a foreseer and his addition to the Sequoia team will help them to escalate their growth journey further in the region.
In a statement, team Sequoia said, "We are thrilled to welcome Rajan Anandan to Sequoia Capital India as a Managing Director. He will join the leadership team at the firm, in addition to the six current Managing Directors, where he will focus on developing Surge into the world's top scale-up program for startups by acting as an investment advisor and mentor to the program's founders."
Prior to Google, Mr. Rajan held leadership roles at Mckinsey& Company, Dell and Microsoft. He worked as Vice President at Dell India, in his role he was aggressively working towards driving Dell's growth in India. After serving at Dell, he moved to Microsoft where he worked as Managing Director looking after its solutions business.
Mr. Rajan holds BSc degree in Mechanical Science from Massachusetts University and also MSc degree from Stanford University.
