Working from home is the need of the hour. We, as responsible citizens must all comply in order stay safe and keep others safe as well. But what else can we do for our safety? Work out at home to boost our immunity. While many of us have already turned the bed into our new workstation, the living room or the balcony has become the gym and yoga studio. The internet is playing a big role to help us with indoor fitness training and the smart wearables are acting the watch dog and keeping a track of our fitness levels.
Smart wearables available in the market handy these days are very advantageous and can come handy as they are equipped with a lot of innovating features to help in keeping a check on your fitness and health. Among the abundance of activities that these smart devices can auto detect for the users, there are indoor activities such walking, jogging and running at home or on the treadmill, indoor cycling, elliptical, rowing, free hand, yoga and other exercises. Setting targets and measuring number of steps, distance, speed, calories burnt, etc. are easier now, thanks to the smartwatches and smart bands. Monitoring sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, stress, etc. are just a touch away.
The recently launched HONOR wearables – HONOR MagicWatch 2 and HONOR Band 5i including the HONOR Band 5 are among the top wearables in the market. Here are how HONOR wearables can help you stay fit and improve your work out strategy, while you are at home.
Lack of Motivation is one of the biggest hurdles when it comes to anyone’s fitness journeys. With the HONOR Wearables users get visual reminders to stand up and stretch on regular basis. The HONOR MagicWatch 2 introduced by HONOR even has a virtual running coach that aims to push, inspire and motivate users when they are working out at home. Seeing data such as step counts, workout time, distance, stride frequency, speed, calories burnt, etc. often encourages people to keep moving forward to reach their goals, as they are able to quantify their progress leading to greater sense satisfaction. Healthy heart rate, stress levels and sound sleep helps users feel fresh, healthy and motivated to follow their fitness regime and improve their lifestyle.
SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation) Detection feature
HONOR is the first company in India to introduce SpO2 feature into its fitness bands, namely HONOR Band 5 and HONOR Band 5i giving it an edge over other fitness trackers within the same price segment. The feature allows the users to track the oxygen saturation level in their blood to keep a better check of their health and fitness.
How does it helps? The oxygen levels in the blood decreases after exercise or physical exertions, whether planned or unplanned. The SpO2 feature helps detect the blood oxygen levels. Taking a cue from the blood oxygen saturation level individual can choose to rest or do some breathing exercises to get the blood oxygen level back to normal levels. Additionally, the SpO2 feature enables users to understand how their body is adapting and adjusting to the workouts, sleep cycles and environmental change.
As a medical standard, the reading of blood oxygen saturation level in a healthy individual should be anywhere above 90 percent, while the same below 90 percent is alarming and may require medical care.
Effective Sleep Tracking
Getting enough sleep is important to promote a healthy lifestyle. Sleep helps repair muscles, rest the body, and maintain a good mood. When an individual has to adapt to a new routine or setting, the HONOR Wearables can help them with scheduling their sleep. The HUAWEI TruSleep™ technology in these smart devices can also track and diagnose 6 common types of sleep disorders, with 200+ personalized sleep quality assessment it provide suggestions for sounder, healthier sleep. One use the Huawei health app to see the sleep score with the break-down of; Deep sleep, light sleep and REM, along with tips and tricks to enhance ones sleep quality and improve sleep pattern.
Precision in 24×7 Heart Rate Monitoring
Enabled by HUAWEI TruSeen™ technology, the wearables keep an eye on the user’s active and resting heart rate and sends an alert when it goes above or below normal levels. This helps in a better understanding of the impact of different work-out performance. Depending on the users’ heart-rate, their body can enter different performance areas; Extreme, Anaerobic, Aerobic, Fat-burning and warm-up/cool down – Understanding how different exercises impact this is important.
HONOR MagicWatch 2 additionally features, HUAWEI TruRelax™ technology, which can also detect the user’s stress level and suggest breathing exercises to ease the stress level.
