HONOR Partner with IISA to Highlight the Adventure Sport Capabilities of MagicWatch 2

HONOR has partnered with the International Ice Swimming Association (IISA) to highlight the health and adventure sport capabilities of the HONOR MagicWatch 2. The collaboration witnessed IISA's ardent ice swimming community spanning over 40 countries don the MagicWatch 2 as they were pushed to their limits in the final leg of IISA's World Cup Series – at IISA GB Championships 2020. The thrilling events, including the flagship 1km and 500m races, took place at Sandford Parks Lido, Cheltenham, from 22nd to 23rd February 2020.

The two-day event celebrated some of the world-leading ice swimmers through a series of vigorous races in water at 6.4°C. Although ice swimmers are only allowed to wear goggles and a swimming cap during races, the HONOR MagicWatch 2 has become a trusty companion during their extreme training schedules. Featuring 15 outdoor and indoor fitness modes that offer actionable advice, the watch is water resistant in depths of up to 50 meters. It also monitors real-time heart rate, SWOLF, distance, speed providing useful data to help boost global swimmers' health condition and performance in the water.

Leading ice swimmers and IISA ambassadors for HONOR MagicWatch 2 participated in this year's
GB Championships to challenge both personal and world records. These top swimmers including founder of IISA and mega influencer of the extreme sports – Ram Barkai, Christof Wandratsch from Germany, 2015-2017 Ice Swimming World Chapmpion and world-renowned open water swimmer, Kyra Wijnker from the Netherland, elite South African ice swimmer Samantha Whelpton, and leading UK swimmers Kate Steels, Jonty Warneken, Caroline Saxon, and Joanne Jones.

Kate Steels, HONOR Swimmer of Ice Swimming Hall of Fame 2020 achieved podium positions for the flagship 500m and 1km events. Warneken, the world's first disabled ice miler, competed at the daunting 1km race and landed 1st Place in his age group for the 250m race. Saxon, who represented Great Britain in 2019 World Championships in Murmansk, Russia, took home the 1st Place in both 200m Freestyle and 1km event in her age group.
