Global technology brand OnePlus revealed that its upcoming ultimate value flagship, the OnePlus 15R, has the most advanced selfie camera ever fitted to an R Series device. OnePlus 15R, set to launch on 17 December, combines powerful performance with potent photography to make a worthy addition to the OnePlus 15 Series.
Awesome autofocus
OnePlus 15R is the first R Series device to feature a 32 megapixel selfie camera, doubling the megapixel count on OnePlus 13R's 16 megapixel sensor. Further, the camera features autofocus, another first for the R Series, meaning that selfies taken on the OnePlus 15R promise to be incredibly clear. Finally, the OnePlus 15R is also the first R Series device to shoot 4K video at up to 30 frames per second using its selfie camera, a massive resolution jump from the 1080p video seen on the OnePlus 13R.
The news of the most advanced front camera on an R Series device joins earlier announcements that the OnePlus 15R also features the same DetailMax Engine first seen in the widely acclaimed OnePlus 15. This means it has the same advanced computational photography algorithms, Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and the Clear Night Engine, to truly level up users' photography, as well as the ability to record 4K 120 frames per second on its main camera - all of which will look amazing on the 165 Hz 1.5K AMOLED display.
Powerful performance
The OnePlus 15R is also the first device available globally to feature the co-defined and co-optimised Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It also features the OnePlus G2 Wi-Fi chip, which ensures strong Wi-Fi connectivity wherever you are, and the Touch Response Chip, which allows the OnePlus 15R to sense touch significantly quicker than other devices. Users will also benefit from a 7,400 mAh battery, the largest battery OnePlus has in any OnePlus phone sold in India, which is built to perform in the harshest environments on Earth and still keep running with at least 80% capacity after four years.
OnePlus 15R will be revealed in full on December 17 at a livestreamed launch event in Bengaluru, India.
