Nothing India released a new awareness video on its official YouTube channel addressing the growing issue of counterfeit CMF and Nothing products in the Indian market. In the video, Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and India President, Nothing, outlines the scale of the problem, the risks counterfeit products pose to consumers, and the steps being taken in collaboration with local authorities to tackle it.
The video follows a series of enforcement actions across multiple cities, including a recent operation conducted with the Delhi Police that led to the seizure of over 1,100 counterfeit chargers and earbuds falsely sold as Nothing and CMF products. These actions form part of Nothingβs ongoing collaboration with enforcement agencies to identify and dismantle counterfeit supply chains across India.
As one of the fastest growing consumer technology brands in the country, Nothing has seen a sharp rise in counterfeit activity over the past year. The company has received increasing reports of fake accessories and devices being sold across online and offline channels, including products and color variants that were never officially launched. While some imitations appear convincing at first glance, they do not meet Nothingβs performance or safety standards and do not undergo the companyβs rigorous testing protocols, posing risks to consumers.
Through the video, Nothing also shares guidance to help consumers identify genuine products. Counterfeit listings often use unfamiliar or random brand names while claiming compatibility with CMF or Nothing, typically have very limited ratings or reviews, and are frequently priced far below authentic products. Consumers are encouraged to remain cautious and report suspicious listings so immediate action can be taken.
This context comes at a time of strong momentum for Nothing in India. The company recently opened its first flagship store in Bengaluru, drawing over 2,000 people who queued through the launch day. At a time when the broader smartphone market has slowed, Nothing continues to accelerate. According to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, 2026, Nothing emerged as the fastest-growing smartphone brand of 2025, recording over 45% growth. As the market cools, the company continues to lead growth and expand its momentum globally.
