As expected, Infinix SMART 5A is a very slim and lightweight smartphone. The actual weight of the phone is just 183gm and it is only 8.75mm thin. In budget category, the phone comes with very heavy body but Infinix has kept its weight very less which is appreciable. Infinix SMART 5A seems to resolve some basic issues related to display in budget category. Infinix claims that the smartphone offers a great viewing experience as it comes with a big 6.52 HD+ Drop Notch Display. The HD display delivers a clean video and picture quality which ultimately results in a remarkable viewing experience. With 20:9 Aspect Ratio, we get edge-to-edge access of the display. So watching a movie or playing games on this smartphone becomes very interesting and you will never be disappointed. It is often seen in entry level smartphones that the display remains a weak area. Despite this factor, the colors and the smoothness remain missing which disappoint the users.
So to check the compatibility of display with high definition videos and pictures, we played several videos in 1080 pixels. We were totally amazed as the colors, contrast and the saturation levels were very accurate. The 500 nits brightness is also a key thing to discuss as it is a very important thing. While being in outdoors, you can see the on-screen content also and there will be no issues with the visibility in sun light.
Enhanced Security at Fast Speed
Yes, Infinix SMART 5A comes with fingerprint sensor which can unlock the phone within one second. We tested the speed to confirm if company's promise is true or not. It worked really well in our test and the phone gets unlocked in less than 1 second which is really great thing in this phone. Besides fingerprint security, the phone also has face unlock security feature for the ease of users. The face unlock feature is also very good as far as speed is concerned. However, sometimes the phone fails to recognize the face but it can be due to the angle at which we keep the phone. But overall it was a nice experience with these two security features in Infinix SMART 5A.
Surprizing Battery Performance
Battery is always considered as a big factor in smartphones as people now do not want to stick to the charger all day. Phone must have a good battery which can sustain for full day despite heavy usage. So keeping this requirement in mind, Infinix has given a large 5000 mAh battery in SMART 5A. Also with 10W charger, users can charge their phone in a short time. However, the charger is micro USB which can disappoint you a little but we must consider that this is an entry level budget smartphone.
After full charge, the phone gives irresistible battery backup. You can get up to 19 hours of Video playback, 28 hours of Music playback, 13 hours of Gaming time, 16 hours of Web surfing, 33 hours of 4G Talk-time, and 35 days of Standby time. This is quite good battery life for all type of usage. Also, the users can get up to 121 hours of music playback while using the headset. The battery is surely a strong part in this phone. During our review, the battery's performance was quite well and we hardly charged the phone despite playing games, watching videos and using camera on frequent basis.
There is also one surprizing factor in SMART 5A which makes this phone more desirable. It is Power Marathon technology which enhances the battery life by 25%. This is an amazing feature as it automatically deactivate the apps running in background. These apps keep on consuming the battery despite not being in use.
