The company is National Distributor (Retail) for Kaspersky Security Solutions in India. Vikram Mehta, Co-founder of VR Infotech shares his strategies for the year 2019.

DT: How has been the year 2018 for VR Infotech distribution business across India? 

Mr. Vikram: Year 2018 has been very good for our business. Awareness of I.T security increased and now it is concern of every Individual in India, Overall, we were able to maintain the momentum and achieved substantial growth. We have extended our reach to every corner of India with the help of our resellers and team members. We established our penetration in small towns through new attractive schemes. We also added more partners to sell more in these smaller towns. We also introduced new and updated security products for consumers. We target protection for all and peace for everyone.

DT: Please brief about your channel ecosystem in India. How are you currently working with your partners to strengthen your market position? 

Mr. Vikram: We remain very true and committed for partners. We believe in growing with them so we always take care of their interest. We assure profit at all level, continuous supply and transparency in partnership. The best security for different types of users without making holes in their pocket keeps customers loyal to us. We offer best product quality with new features and affordability. We continuously help our channel partners with everything they need as they are the one who paves the way of growth for us. In return they have helped us by increasing our revenue and reach to a big part of consumer base across the major areas. Our focus is very clear as we are looking forward to connect more customers with us which can result into strengthening our position and market share. Our partners are key to our success and we trust our channel partners.

DT: What is your overall roadmap to escalate your growth further in CY 2019?

Mr. Vikram: We aim to protect every individual. Our goal will remain the same – Protection for every Internet user. It will help us to take our business to the new level as there is huge opportunities coming up due to devices and connectivity has become much more affordable. More and more people will use PCs. Tablets or Smartphone due to government Digital India mission. We aim to tap all these opportunities. Channel partners are our core strength. We have very strong channel base who caters to wide geography across India, we have dealers in each cities who ultimately help us in selling Kaspersky security solutions to customers. There is a single price policy which allows us to serve every customer in the best possible way.

DT: What will be the major challenges for Distribution houses in 2019? 

Mr. Vikram: More Investments less ROI are expected in 2019.2019 will be the year of Transformation for Distribution houses, to grow we need to put more Investments in Business, we have to put new process, methods which need Investments in skilled manpower. Distribution house need to accelerate change and address internal structural infrastructure to grow faster in IT industry, by step up investments in new technologies they should be future-proof. In this year we have to Invest in Training to educate our existing workforce to get them ready for future challenges.
