TÜV Rheinland and realme have jointly created the TÜV Rheinland Smartphone High Reliability Certification, which will serve as the leading industry standard for major markets worldwide. realme C21 and realme C25 will be the first smartphones which will have TÜV Rheinland High Reliability Certification.”

realme sets higher quality standard with TÜV Rheinland

realme has been working with TÜV Rheinland on a reliability certification to bring their quality control procedures to the next level.

realme is the first smartphone brand in the world to get TÜV Rheinland High Reliability

Certification. They will be using this set of quality standard procedures to do quality control and tests across all of the realme smartphones.

TÜV Rheinland quality certification

After over eight months of research and testing, TÜV Rheinland and realme jointly created the TÜV Rheinland Smartphone High Reliability Certification, which serves as the leading industry standard for major markets worldwide.

The TÜV Rheinland Smartphone High Reliability Certification process encompasses 23 major tests, including ten daily use test scenarios, such as drop, wear, and tear; seven extreme environment test scenarios, including super extreme temperature, extreme humidity, voltage fluctuation, button life, static electricity, air pressure; and six

component reliability test scenarios.

Smart factory, aiming to be fully automated in the near future

Consistency is one of the key attributes to making high-quality products. realme has been investing in the smart factory that aims to be fully automated in the near future. That way realme can improve the efficiency and precision of complex manufacturing processes.

One such automation example is the SMT production line, which is responsible for putting components onto the PCB motherboard. The current automation rate in the smart factory is 87.5%, which is already way above the industry standards.

Thanks to the AI automation capability, the current realme AI smart factory can produce 60 million devices every year.

Designed to be high-quality

realme believes that high-quality products start from excellent design thinking. Most people think that realme smartphones are designed around trendsetting design and leap-forward technology, but at the same time, realme designs products with keeping quality first in mind. realme strictly follows a certain set of principles and criteria when designing any product. All realme products are required to have a trendsetting design powered by leap-forward technology and are produced through rigorous quality control.

Quality Control team has a veto right to reject the inferior quality products

There is a 6-stage smartphone design process based on which smartphones are designed, developed, and tested in the factory. The Quality Control team is involved in every step of checking on the product quality.

At any given point, if the product fails to meet the quality standards, the Quality Control team has a veto right to reject the inferior quality product, and the rejected products are redesigned from scratch.

Quality designed for digital natives

Based on the hobbies of the young users, especially towards travel and outdoor extreme sports, realme has done additional and vigorous tests in related environmental settings. To withstand accidental drops that happen in popular outdoor sports such as skateboarding and parkour, the products were made to go through more aggressive drop tests at a height up to 1.8 meters and at multiple sides on different surface materials. As for travel, realme also simulated extreme temperatures from negative 40 degrees Celsius to 75 degrees Celsius in an outdoor environmental setting to make sure all realme products can withstand harsh conditions.

Samsung Donates INR 37 Crores for India’s Fight Against Covid-19

Published

on

Samsung has pledged USD 5 million (INR 37 Crores) as its contribution to India’s fight against the current surge of Covid-19, providing donations to central and state governments, and boosting the healthcare sector with essential medical equipment for hospitals, as part of its citizenship initiatives.

The decisions have been taken after due consultations with various stakeholders in India and assessing the immediate needs of local administrations.

Samsung will donate USD 3 million to the Centre as well as to the states of Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

In addition, to help the healthcare system that has been stretched over the last few weeks, Samsung will provide USD 2 million worth of medical supplies, including 100 Oxygen Concentrators, 3,000 Oxygen Cylinders and one million LDS syringes. These will be offered to the states of Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

LDS or Low Dead Space syringes minimize the amount of drug left in the device after injection, optimizing vaccine usage. Existing products have a large amount of the vaccine remaining in the syringe after use. The technology has demonstrated up to 20% greater efficiency and if existing syringes were to deliver one million doses, LDS syringes could deliver 1.2 million doses with the same amount of vaccine. Samsung has helped the manufacturer of these syringes increase production capacity.

Additionally, as part of its people initiative, Samsung will cover the vaccination costs for over 50,000 eligible employees and beneficiaries in India, with an aim to safeguard their lives, as vaccine doses become available. This will also include all Samsung Experience Consultants, who work at electronics retail stores across the country.

At Samsung, employee health, safety and well-being are our absolute priority. To help employees and their families with information and access to medical supplies as well as hospital facilities and home-care, we have set up in-house facilities and teams across the country.

In April 2020, Samsung had contributed INR 20 crore to India’s fight against the pandemic. This included a donation to the Central government and support to local administration in Noida, where the Company had provided hospitals with medical equipment required in the preventive drive against the pandemic such as thousands of Preventive Masks and Personal Preventive Equipment (PPE) kits.

Samsung salutes all professionals working tirelessly on the frontline of this battle. The Samsung family, which includes our employees across India and our partners and their employees, stand together in this battle against Covid-19.
