MSI announced that the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ is now available in India, a compact 4-liter desktop PC built for professionals, agile teams and security-conscious organizations that want to run demanding AI workloads on their own hardware.
It’s powered by up to an AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 processor, with up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 unified memory, integrated Radeon™ 8060S graphics and a dedicated XDNA™ 2 neural processing unit. All of this fits inside a compact aluminum chassis with a built-in 300W power supply.
The MSI PRO MAX EDGE AI+ is designed to support local AI inference, content creation, data analysis and advanced business applications, the system reduces reliance on cloud processing. Running compatible workloads and data on the device can make for faster responsiveness and tighter control over sensitive information, subject to the software and deployment practices they use.
Up to 126 TOPS of AI Performance in a 4-Liter Desktop
At the core of the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ is the AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 300 Series, with configurations going up to the Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395. The flagship processor brings together 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, 40 RDNA™ 3.5 graphics compute units and an XDNA™ 2 NPU that delivers up to 50 TOPS. Across the full platform, total AI performance reaches up to 126 TOPS, giving users CPU, GPU and NPU resources to draw on for AI-assisted productivity and compute-intensive professional workloads.
Unified Memory Expands the Scope of Local AI
The PRO MAX EDGE AI+ supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 unified memory at 8000 MT/s, with up to 96GB configurable as graphics memory. Since the CPU and integrated GPU draw from the same memory pool, compatible AI applications can tap into far more memory than a conventional integrated GPU typically offers. In supported configurations, the system can run large language models of up to 120 billion parameters locally. Actual model compatibility and performance will vary depending on model architecture, quantization, context length, software and system configuration.
Multi-System Clustering for Larger Models
For teams whose workloads outgrow a single computer, multiple PRO MAX EDGE AI+ systems can be linked together as a local cluster. MSI’s published validation table covers configurations ranging from a two-node setup for selected 120B and 235B models up to a four-node setup for DeepSeek-V3.1 with 671 billion parameters using Q4_0 quantization. This approach lets teams scale their local inference capacity while keeping control over their own deployment environment. Results depend on the selected model, quantization, cluster software and workload.
Thermal Design for Sustained Workloads
MSI equips the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ with Frozr AI Pro cooling and Glacier Armor storage cooling. A copper heat spreader, three heat pipes and a triple-fan design help manage heat during sustained AI and professional workloads, while dedicated heatsinks support the system’s dual PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD slots.
Compact Design, Flexible Connectivity
The 4-liter aluminium chassis integrates a 300W power supply, eliminating the need for a bulky external power adapter. A three-stage physical performance switch lets users select calibrated
power profiles without opening a software control panel, helping balance performance, thermals and acoustics for different tasks.
For network and display connectivity, the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ offers Wi-Fi 7 and can drive up to four independent displays through HDMI™ 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a and two USB 40Gbps Type-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode. The front and rear panels add further connections, including USB Type-A ports, dual audio jacks, RJ45 Ethernet and an SD 4.0 UHS-II card reader.
Who Is the MSI PRO MAX EDGE AI+ For?
The MSI PRO MAX EDGE AI+ is now available in India for AI developers, researchers, creative professionals, small studios and organizations that need a compact workstation for local inference, retrieval-augmented generation, content creation, data analysis or multi-display business workflows. Its on-device design is especially useful for teams that want to rely less on the cloud, have predictable local access and keep greater control over where their data lives.
