Garmin announced the launch of the Forerunner® 970 and Forerunner® 570 in India, its most advanced GPS running and triathlon smartwatches. Designed to help athletes of all levels train smarter and achieve new personal bests, the latest Forerunner models feature vibrant AMOLED displays, a built-in speaker and microphone for calls and voice assistance, personalized workouts, recovery insights, and more.
The Forerunner 970 goes a step further with a built-in LED flashlight and cutting-edge performance metrics like running tolerance, running economy, and step speed loss, developed in collaboration with Garmin’s team of sports scientists and physiologists. With impressive battery life, the Forerunner 970 lasts up to 15 days in smartwatch mode, while the Forerunner 570 delivers up to 11 days.

Built-in speaker and mic: Make and take calls from the watch when paired with a compatible smartphone. Plus, control watch functions with voice commands, or use the phone’s voice assistant to respond to text messages and more.
Breathing variations: Using Pulse Ox, athletes can better understand shifts in their breathing patterns as they sleep.
The Forerunner 970
Designed for athletes striving to break personal records, the Forerunner® 970 combines premium design with advanced navigation features, including built-in full-colour mapping. Whether running through city streets or cycling on forest trails, users can stay confidently on course with intuitive, turn-by-turn directions. Multi-band GPS, full-colour maps, and enhanced navigation keep you on track, while up to 15 days of battery life and built-in calling (when paired with a smartphone) ensure you stay connected wherever you train.

Dynamic Round-Trip Routing: Users can simply enter a target distance, and the Forerunner 970 will suggest routes that loop back to the starting point. If they go off course, the watch automatically recalculates a new route to match the intended mileage.

The Forerunner 570
To support goal-driven athletes, the Forerunner 570 offers advanced running metrics including training status, wrist-based running power, running dynamics, acute load, training effect, performance condition, VO2 max, and more. The watch also delivers daily suggested workouts tailored to the user’s performance and recovery, adapting after every run.

Available to order on Garmin India website on 6th August, Forerunner 570 has a suggested retail price of INR 66,990 and Forerunner 970 is INR 90,990. Garmin’s two-year warranty is applicable to both Forerunner 970 and 570 models.
