Omega Seiki Mobility Brings Rage+ Rapid Electric 3-Wheeler



Omega Seiki Mobility, in partnership with advanced battery-tech startup Log 9 Materials, today introduced India’s fastest charging electric3-Wheeler Rage+ Rapid EV. The company has commenced accepting booking for Rage+ Rapid EV in two variants: Rage+ RapidEV Open Carrier Half Tray (discounted ex-showroom price ₹3.59 lakh) and Rage+ RapidEV with 140 cubic feet top body container (discounted ex-showroom price ₹3.99 lakh) –by paying a pre-booking amount of ₹10,000. This price is valid only for the first 1,000 customers only.

India’s fastest charging three-wheeler cargo EV is now offered with an attractive discount of up to Rs. 1 Lakh. The offer will be limited to the first 1,000 units only.

Following the closure of the above-mentioned online pre-booking event, representatives from Omega Seiki/Log 9 team will get in touch with the customers who have made the partial payment in order to facilitate completion of the remaining payment process and formalities. The vehicle will be dispatched and shipped to the customer within 4-6 weeks from the date when their pre-booking is made. 

Keeping range anxiety at bay, both variants of Omega Seiki’s Rage+ Rapid EVs, which are a part of this offer, consist of RapidX 6000 fast-charging batteries based on the flagship InstaCharge technology innovated by Log 9 Materials, which in turn enable the vehicles to get fully charged within 35 minutes, thereby making them the fastest-charging 3-wheelers available in India currently. The batteries are optimally designed to work within tough Indian weather conditions between operating temperatures of -30°C to +60°C, allowing up to 40,000 charge-discharge cycles and hence 10+ years of battery life, and will provide a range of 90km+ in a single charge when fully charged. All these features combined makes Rage+ RapidEV the most suited and first-of-its-kind electric vehicle(s) targeted towards the B2B last-mile cargo and delivery segment in India. 

Notably, the Rage+ Rapid EVs – powered by Log 9’s InstaCharge technology — also come along with ₹1 lakh buy back guarantee within 5 years (after the purchase); this buyback guarantee is a first in the Indian market and attempts to solve the challenges associated with resale value of EVs. Additionally, Rage+ Rapid EV offers a 5-year vehicle warranty and 6-year battery warranty. To further add to the value proposition for the customers, Log 9 will also be offering to them – ‘InstaCharge on Demand’ – a phone-call-based EV charging service that brings Log 9’s unique high-power charger to the vehicle owners’ preferred location, and they will also be providing the customers access to Log 9’s newly-developed ‘InstaCharge App’ – a mobile app that guides a person in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, and other metro cities to easily find in real time the nearest EV charging station based on their location.

OSM and SUN Mobility to Deploy 10000 Commercial EVs with Swappable Batteries



Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has entered into a strategic alliance with Bengaluru based SUN Mobility, a leading EV technology solutions company. The alliance plans to initially launch 10,000 units of OSM Rage+ with smart, swappable batteries across the country.

This collaboration will give OSM the access to SUN Mobility’s nationwide network of Swap Points with advanced Quick Interchange Station (QIS’) and real-time visibility via a state-of-the-art, IOT based, end-to-end energy infrastructure management platform. SUN Mobility’s Swap Points are available at convenient locations such as IOCL fuel stations and it takes less than 2-minute for a driver to swap the batteries.

This alliance will make Omega Seiki Mobility’s entire product portfolio gain new value with easily swappable batteries. These lithium-ion batteries have been developed and assembled by SUN Mobility in India with highly efficient, sustainable, and cutting-edge technology.

SUN Mobility’s QIS allows electric three-wheeler drivers to switch their discharged batteries with fully charged ones in 2-3 minutes thereby addressing customer concerns around range, long charging times and inadequate charging infrastructure. The key USP of SUN Mobility’s world-class swappable battery technology is that it offers interoperability across two and three-wheelers. Drivers get the benefit of best-in-class batteries without any additional investment or worry about quality, life or degradation making their EV experience hassle free.

LML Electric Signed Partnership with Saera Electric Auto



LML Electric is laying the groundwork for a long-term future in the EV business in India and around the world, and it’s doing so in style. EV Startup BattRE Expands its Dealer Network Across 19 States



BattRE has crossed 300 dealerships across 19 states and further plans to ramp that up to 700 dealerships by FY23 exit. This expansion of their dealer network will be supported by two brand new additions in their product portfolio, a high-speed electric scooter and  a high-speed electric bike. With these offerings, BattRE will be bring in a whole new breed of electric two wheelers in the market.

The company is eyeing a revenue in excess of 450 crore in the financial year 2022-23 which is a 300 percent jump compared to the revenue in FY 2021-22. In addition to the targeted financials, the company is also looking at an additional investment of INR 100 crores to ramp up production capacities, expand dealer network, launch the new products and enhance research and development capabilities.

Encashing on the market maturity in the electric vehicles segment, BattRE is looking at a huge growth in the near future. Elaborating on this, BattRE’s founder, Mr. Nishchal Choudhury said, “The growth of battery-operated two-wheeler market is yet to reach its inflection point. The next 10 years are going to see an unprecedented rise of more than 100 percent CAGR. BattRE is gearing up to position itself and take advantage of this phenomenal demand.”

“While numerous new players have entered the market recently, BattRE has had a head start of 2.5 years in this industry and offers products that meet the customers’ demands. And soon we’ll be launching an e-scooter which will boast of many firsts in the EV market, and is going to be positioned as a complete family vehicle. We are also in the final stages of testing our electric motorcycle, which is targeted to be launched by June this year. With the launch of these products, customers from every walk of life will be able to find a product suitable to their needs,” Mr. Nishchal added.

BattRE, with its new expansion plans, is aggressively targeting Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, which are also emerging as demand centres and growing exponentially like the Tier 1 cities.
