iVOOMi S1 Electric Scooter Test Rides to Begin on 28 May

iVOOMi Energy to begin with the test ride of iVOOMi S1 e-scooters on May 28, 2022. With its previously launched iVOOMi e-scooters, customers have so far driven 5 million green kilometers in the past two years, authenticating its reliable technology and pioneering innovation. In the first phase, the much-awaited iVOOMi S1 is rolling out test rides at its dealerships in the cities – Pune, Nagpur, Gondia, Mumbai, Nanded, Kolhapur, Ichalkaranji, Ahmednagar, Surat, Bhavnagar, Adipur, and Kachh, followed by all other dealerships pan India by 05 June.

The vehicles will be available across multiple touchpoints in these cities to ensure as many people can experience the S1. Interested customers can reserve their test-ride slots on the iVOOMi Energy website, along with an option to pre-book the e-scooter post-test ride at INR 749. The S1 e-scooter is approved by International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) and registered by Regional Transport office (RTO) will be delivered starting in June, and the company promises on-time delivery.

Designed and manufactured in India, the iVOOMi S1 is powered by a 2kW electric motor that offers a top speed of 50-54 kmph. The electric scooter gets a 60V, 2kWh swappable Li-ion battery pack for quick replenishment of battery charge, relief from domestic charging woes, etc. It offers a riding range of 100 km on a full charge and can be fully juiced up in 3-4 hours, making it a reliable choice for customers.

iVOOMi Energy is one of the few players in the country riding the electric mobility wave with its unique battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model that makes it more cost-effective and convenient for customers as compared to conventional scooters. The S1 is expected to continue the legacy success of the previous models at a price of Rs 84,999 and with a major user interface update, keeping in line with the segment’s higher expectations.

iVOOMi Energy plans to extend the S1 test ride for at least three weeks, with more cities to be added in the coming week. To attract even more customers, the company has organised a lucky draw for those who take a test ride.

BLive to Install BOLT EV Charging Stations in 100+ Locations Across India

BLive has partnered with BOLT to set up EV charging points across hundreds of corporate parks, colleges, commercial buildings, residential complexes, experience store, hospitality locations and zip stores in India. With this partnership, together, the companies plan to install the BOLT EV charging stations in 100+ locations in the coming months across India. The first set of installations will be targeted at strategic locations in Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Telangana.

The BLive-BOLT partnership aims to transform access to EV chargers by rapidly building a fast-charging network across the country and delivering a seamless experience for EV drivers. Currently, with BOLT, BLive has already installed chargers in Salarpuria Sattva’s Knowledge Park, HiTech City in Hyderabad and are in the process of expanding these installations at various other Sattva property locations.

·NFT Gallery: This will allow users to witness MG’s finest collections on display and enable them to collaborate & co-create, list, and transact NFTs on the platform. Additionally, it will also give an opportunity to individuals and creators to create their own NFT and earn.

·MG Car Club: The members of MGCC will get one more avenue to connect, engage and celebrate togetherness through members-only events and concerts. They will also have an option to buy MG merchandise from MGverse.

· Gaming Arena: The user will get a chance to experience MG’s rich racing history. One can choose their favourite racetrack to race in a sportier MG or play other games. Hence, the user can enjoy a plethora of games on MGverse.

·MG Knowledge Centre: It will provide opportunities to our employees and partners for upskilling and attending virtual training sessions, conferences, meetings, etc.

The platform will be accessible on mobile as well as other web browsers to engage GenZ and GenAlpha. MG intends to make similar experiences available for VR (Virtual Reality) headsets, allowing a more captivating and realistic experience at home and in dealerships. The platform will be executed in phases, with the first phase being implemented during the coming festive season.

Ather Energy to Set-up EV Charging Grids Across The Country

Magenta ChargeGrid signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ather Energy, electric scooter manufacturer, to install Ather Grid fast chargers across charging locations. These charging stations shall be managed by Magenta under the ChargeGrid platform. This partnership is one of India’ first where integrated charging across 2W, 3W and 4W will be provided at a single location. This will give Ather access to multiple locations across India and aims to collectively accelerate the pace of expansion of public charging networks and the adoption of EVs in India.

Magenta ChargeGrid is currently expanding its charging network to 35-40 cities in India with the aim to set up a network of around 11000 chargers by the end of FY23. This partnership with Magenta ChargeGrid will give Ather Grid access to premium locations across Tier I, Tier II & Tier III cities and highways in India and provide wider coverage for EV customers. These locations are strategically placed to make it easily accessible to EV owners and will also have desired electricity load availability for operations of the chargers.

Magenta ChargeGrid has formed alliances with prominent DISCOMs across the country such as BSES, BESCOM and other key discoms with the goal of establishing a stronger EV charging ecosystem. The firm is also collaborating with multiple corporations in India with present association with bodies like Indore Municipal Corporation, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation. This is in addition to our ongoing strategic tie-ups with key hotel chains such as Fern, IBIS, amongst others, to build EV charging infrastructure within cities and on highways.

Since 2018, Magenta ChargeGrid has been developing EV solutions which are ‘Made in India and made for Indian weather conditions and usage. Under the three business verticals, (Magenta ChargeGrid chargers as a product, charging as a service (ChargeGrid) and eMobility (EVET), Magenta ChargeGrid provides integrated solutions to develop the whole EV ecosystem.

The company has been investing in strategic partnerships to alleviate range anxiety and increase EV adoption in the country.  Ather has partnered with charging operators like Zeon Charging and retail partners like Decathlon, Cafe Coffee Day, Blue Tokai etc and 15 other brands.

In the next 3 years, Ather plans to install 5,000 fast chargers across India, and these strategic partnerships are progressive steps towards the goal.

Ather Energy has expanded its retail footprint across key cities in India and is currently present in 31 cities with 36 retail stores. Over the next three years, Ather plans to increase its annual production capacity to one million scooters from four lakhs by the end of 2022, develop new products and increase its network to 600 stores.
