Hirect’s New Feature Enables Users to Search for Jobs ‘Nearby’
Hirect has recently launched a new update to their existing application that will enable candidates to easily find jobs closer to their desired location. The new update is focused on simplifying users’ job users’ search experience.
The latest version in iOS 2.4.1 and android 3.1.7 updates of the application include the “Nearby” feature that allows the jobseekers to look out for jobs seamlessly. The “Nearby” feature allows the users to pinpoint their current location and enable them to filter out the relevant job opportunities near to their vicinity. Once the user grants access to the location, the application will populate the job feed of the candidate in ascending order of their distance. For instance, if a candidate is located in Goregaon, Mumbai, he/she can look out for relevant job opportunities and can choose as per their location.
Talking about the latest update, Mr. Raj Das, Global Co-founder and CEO of Hirect India said, “We are thrilled to unveil our brand new feature with the latest release in both the versions of the application. As a brand, we strive to provide better solutions that will help both the job seeker and the recruiters. As part of our research, we found that there is a section of job seekers who are not willing to relocate for jobs due to family and personal commitment. This feature is designed keeping them in mind and the recruiters who want to hire candidates closer to where they operate. I am certain this feature will disrupt the hiring market as it will significantly cut down the hiring time on both ends.’’
Hirect links the startups to the great talent of the country within a minute on one platform using AI-enabled metadata. The objective of the update in the app is to make the job search process for candidates simpler and easier allowing them to search for preferred jobs near their vicinity. The App is standardized and designed in such a way that it connects the right job seekers and recruiters through a rigorous verification process without the intervention of middlemen.
Telegram Helping Government of Brazil to Curb Fake News
Telegram has joined hands with the Government of Brazil, to work towards curbing fake news and false information propagation, in the country. President, Jair Bolsonaro met the Vice president of Telegram, Ilya Perekopsky, and the legal representative of the messaging app in Brazil, Alan Thomaz at Palácio do Planalto.
In Brazil, Justice and social networks have been engaged in a relationship of dialogue in recent months, to address some of the conflicts around the adoption of practices to prevent the dissemination of false information. The concern of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) is the undue interference of fake news in the political and institutional life of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Ilya Perosky, Vice President, Telegram said “We had a good conversation with Bolsonaro in which we have discussed freedom of expression, the most important principle on which Telegram is based, and compliance with the Constitution”
In India, Telegram has worked closely with the PIB (Press Information Bureau) and MIB (Ministry of Information and Broadcasting) to help the government’s initiatives to curb the menace of fake news. They have verified Channels running on Telegram with a wide audience base. PIB Factcheck is one of the Channels on Telegram which is working to counter misinformation on government policies and schemes.

Telegram Premium is Coming Later This Month, Reveals CEO
On Friday, Telegram’s Founder and CEO, Pavel Durov spoke about the upcoming premium version of Telegram. On his Telegram channel, he wrote:
Since the day Telegram was launched almost 9 years ago, we’ve been giving our users more features and resources than any other messaging app. A free app as powerful as Telegram was revolutionary in 2013 and is still unprecedented in 2022. To this day, our limits on chats, media and file uploads are unrivaled.
And yet, many have been asking us to raise the current limits even further, so we looked into ways to let you go beyond what is already crazy. The problem here is that if we were to remove all limits for everyone, our server and traffic costs would have become unmanageable, so the party would be unfortunately over for everyone.
After giving it some thought, we realized that the only way to let our most demanding fans get more while keeping our existing features free is to make those raised limits a paid option. That’s why this month we will introduce Telegram Premium, a subscription plan that allows anyone to acquire additional features, speed and resources. It will also allow users to support Telegram and join the club that receives new features first.
Not to worry though: all existing features remain free, and there are plenty of new free features coming. Moreover, even users who don’t subscribe to Telegram Premium will be able to enjoy some of its benefits: for example, they will be able to view extra-large documents, media and stickers sent by Premium users, or tap to add Premium reactions already pinned to a message to react in the same way.
While our experiments with privacy-focused ads in public one-to-many channels have been more successful than we expected, I believe that Telegram should be funded primarily by its users, not advertisers. This way our users will always remain our main priority.
