The HyperX Pulsefire Fuse Wireless Mouse is a lightweight gaming mouse designed for use across multiple platforms. In this review, we take a hands-on look at how it performs in everyday use and gaming, covering its design, performance, connectivity, and battery life.

Design and First Impressions

Right from the start, the Pulsefire Fuse feels light and balanced. Weighing 75 grams with the AAA battery installed, it moves easily and doesn’t tire the hand during long gaming sessions. Its ambidextrous design works for both left and right-handed users, and the textured Microline grips provide enough traction to keep control during quick movements. The mouse keeps a simple look without over-the-top curves or styling, focusing instead on practical usability.

Buttons and Scroll

The clicks on the Pulsefire Fuse feel responsive and precise. They are neither too stiff nor too soft, making them suitable for both fast-paced shooters and slower games. The scroll wheel is smooth, easy to control, and accurately aligned with the mouse’s movement. While the mouse doesn’t have premium mechanical switches or flashy features, the overall feedback feels consistent and reliable in everyday use.

Sensor and DPI Settings

The Pixart PAW3311 optical sensor supports DPI levels up to 12,000, and in practice, it tracks movements accurately across different game types. The DPI switch is conveniently placed for quick adjustments, and the HyperX NGENUITY software lets users customize DPI settings, assign button functions, and adjust RGB lighting. The software is easy to use while still offering flexibility for users who want more control. The sensor performs well in both casual gaming and moderately competitive scenarios.

Wireless Connectivity

One of the practical features of this mouse is its dual wireless support. Users can switch between 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, making it compatible with PCs, laptops, and gaming consoles. During testing, the connection remained stable without noticeable lag, providing a smooth experience across devices. This versatility is useful for gamers who use multiple platforms or want one mouse for both work and play.

Battery Life

The mouse runs on a single AAA battery and can last up to 85 hours of continuous use. During testing, the battery easily lasted multiple long gaming sessions without interruption. While some may prefer a built-in rechargeable battery, the replaceable AAA design is convenient for long-term use and travel since swapping batteries is quick and simple.

Telecom Today Verdict

The HyperX Pulsefire Fuse Wireless Mouse focuses on the essentials rather than flashy features. It is lightweight, responsive, and offers flexible wireless connectivity along with a long battery life. While it may not match high-end esports mice in terms of advanced features or extreme ergonomics, it performs reliably for most gamers and everyday users. After extensive testing, we found the mouse to be balanced, easy to use, and practical. Considering its features and price of around INR 4,469, it earns a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5.
