NDM News Network

Atomberg Technologies announced its entry into the kitchen appliances market by launching India's first Mixer Grinder with Inverter Motor Technology called MG 1.

The mixer grinder comes with a smart interface and has much lower motor noise compared to all other universal motor mixer grinders. Currently, the mixer grinder is available for purchase from the Atomberg website ie. atomberg.com as well as all leading e-commerce sites like Amazon, Flipkart etc

The motor comes with a unique technology that enables the same grinder to run at very slow speed(RPM) as well as very high speed. The slow speed enables a lot of recipes/operations like chopping, coarse grinding, juicing without seeds crushing etc. The high speed enables operations like tough dry grinding of things like turmeric etc

Within the kitchen appliances segment, the motorized food preparation category is a 7000 crore market with increasing premiumization within the category. Appliances like mixer grinders, juicer mixer grinders, slow juicers, wet grinders, blenders, food processors come within this category

Traditionally, mixer grinders in India have used the universal induction motor. But Atomberg has used an inverter technology motor. These motors are 50% more efficient compared to universal induction motors. Thus, it is able to give superior grinding at a much lower wattage.

Commenting on the launch, Manoj Meena, founder and CEO of Atomberg, said, " We have disrupted the fan industry with our combination of superior energy efficient motors, smart features and sleek aesthetics. Just like fans, kitchen appliances was another segment which had not seen a lot of India specific innovation solving real consumer problems. The launch of MG1 is our first endeavour to build better products for modern Indian kitchens. We are very hopeful that the new age Indian consumer will find a lot of value in our innovation"

Atomberg has grown the revenues by almost 5x over the last 2 years. To fuel its growth, Over the last few years, Atomberg has also raised close to 50 million dollars in funding from investors like A91 partners, Jungle Ventures and Deepika Padukone's family office.
