India’s smartwatch market is slowing down, but GOBOULT, with its smartwatch segment growing 49.6% YoY, is expanding its commitment to the category. Smartwatches are expected to contribute approximately 30% of GOBOULTs revenue over the next 12–18 months, with the company targeting 20–25% market share by FY26, supported by an expected 10% uplift in ASP from its new portfolio.
This conviction comes from analysing evolutions in the market and consumer expectations. The broader category decline is driven almost entirely by low-end, low-innovation products in the sub-₹2,000 band. Consumers are simply moving away from poorly built devices that no longer meet their expectations.
At the same time, demand in the ₹3,000–₹6,000 premium-value segment continues to strengthen. Users are upgrading to products that offer stronger design, reliable performance, and a quality aesthetic.
