Telegram has rolled out its latest update introducing Live Stories, repeated scheduled messages, and auctions for collectible Gifts, along with refreshed UI enhancements across iOS and Android. The latest update marks one of Telegram’s most creator-focused releases yet, bringing new ways to stream, engage audiences and personalise how users share content.

Live Stories

Telegram now allows users to go live directly through Stories, enabling real-time video broadcasts visible at the top of the screen. Viewers can respond using live comments and reactions, which appear briefly on the broadcast helping hosts surface top interactions and maintain high engagement. Creators can also receive Stars during the stream, with a live counter showing earnings in real time.

Hosting Live Stories

Live Stories support external broadcasting tools such as OBS and XSplit through RTMP links, enabling professional creators to stream from multiple devices or setups. All broadcasts inherit Story privacy settings, allowing users to choose whether Live Stories appear to everyone, selected contacts, close friends, or specific user groups.

Repeated Messages

Scheduled messages and reminders can now be set to repeat at intervals like every day or twice per month to automate tasks at work or build healthy habits.

Auctions for New Gifts

Telegram has redefined how limited-edition Gifts are distributed by launching a transparent auction system powered by Stars. Users can bid on collectible gifts in timed rounds, with winners receiving gifts based on bid ranking Gift #1 for the highest bidder, Gift #2 for the second, and so on. Unsuccessful bids roll over to the next round, while remaining Stars are refunded after all gifts are allocated. The auction interface clearly displays the number of Stars typically required to win in each round, helping users bid strategically. Collectible gifts available for auction can be found under Settings > Send a Gift, marked with an “Auction” label.

New Interface Designs

For iOS users, Telegram now features upgraded Liquid Glass elements across navigation bars, keyboards and sticker panels, creating an immersive, translucent feel aligned with Apple’s latest design language. Android users get a simplified new input bar and improved blur effects, making conversations feel smoother and visually consistent across devices.

With this update, Telegram continues to expand its creative and interactive capabilities, empowering users, communities and creators with tools that combine personalisation, monetisation and seamless communication.
