A Samsung internal study finds Indian consumers are among the world’s most energy-conscious, achieving substantial electricity savings through use of AI-enabled home appliances. According to the study, India ranked second globally in energy savings generated by the effective use of Samsung’s Bespoke appliances equipped with SmartThings AI Energy Mode.

SmartThings AI Energy Mode applies advanced algorithms to optimise energy consumption across compatible Samsung appliances, including air conditioners, washing machines and refrigerators. By analysing usage patterns and automatically adjusting operations, the feature helps households reduce power use while maintaining convenience.

Key benefits highlighted in the study include:

Up to 30% energy savings on air conditioners and up to 70% on washing machines and washer-dryers.

Seamless integration with the SmartThings app for real-time energy monitoring.

Usage-based optimisation that improves overall efficiency.

Everyday sustainability through smarter energy management.

With India facing rising electricity demand — particularly during peak summer and monsoon seasons — SmartThings AI Energy Mode offers a practical tool for lowering household consumption. The study suggests wider adoption of energy-efficient, AI-powered appliances is helping Indian consumers make smarter, more sustainable choices and move toward a greener future.
