Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 7 Pro and Note 7 Smartphones in India

Xiaomi announced the much-anticipated successors to the Redmi Note line-up in the new Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7.

The phones mark the biggest shift in design and computing prowess since the Redmi Note line-up debuted in India in 2014.

Speaking on the occasion, Manu Jain, MD, Xiaomi India and VP, Xiaomi, said, "The Redmi Note 7 series is a remarkable addition to our Redmi Note line, bringing our core philosophy to life – innovation for everyone. Redmi Note 7 Pro features a powerful 48MP camera, equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675, while offering a stunning Aura Design. And Redmi Note 7 similarly offers an array of great features. With such incredible offerings, Redmi Note 7 series is the perfect package for our Mi Fans and consumers who look forward to enjoying innovative products with best specs of great quality at a truly honest price."

The most powerful Redmi series yet, Redmi Note 7 series embodies Aura Design — marking a significant shift in the design language to a more ergonomic, sleek and premium style. With both the front and rear covered in Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5, Redmi Note is no more only about pure grunt, marrying style and function. The Dot Notch display, measuring 6.3 inches with a 19.5:9 2340 x 1080-pixel LTPS panel tops off the Aura Design.

The Gorilla Glass 5-covered rear makes the Redmi Note 7 series stand out in the all-new range of colours, and comes with support for Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 4.

Redmi Note 7 Pro  48MP Camera Beast

For the first time on the Redmi Note lineup, Redmi Note 7 Pro will feature a gradient design in the Nebula Red and Neptune Blue colour variants. The Aura Design that Redmi Note 7 Pro adopts isn't just about the colours or the Gorilla Glass 5 body, but about how all components come together to make Redmi Note 7 Pro one beautifully functional device.

Unparalleled 48MP detail with SONY IMX586

For the first time ever in India, Xiaomi will be shipping a smartphone camera that will allow users to take 48MP photos with Redmi Note 7 Pro. Combining a top-of-the-line Sony IMX586 sensor and advanced signal processing of the Spectra 250L ISP, Redmi Note 7 Pro is more than just a handy camera that fits any pocket.

With a wide aperture of ƒ/1.79, Redmi Note 7 Pro is able to produce images that are true to life with unparalleled levels of detail. PDAF also ensures focusing is quick, and on point.

Combined with the sophisticated algorithms of MIUI Camera, Redmi Note 7 Pro users will be able to enjoy features such as live portraits, live studio portraits, and much more. A 5MP camera sensor works in tandem with the main 48MP sensor to compute depth information, in order to produce accurate portrait shots with a pleasing yet deep bokeh effect.

A specially-tuned Steady Handheld Night Photography mode allows everyone to take great shots, even in the low-light conditions.

Next-level performance with Snapdragon 675

As one of the first smartphones in the world to be powered by the all-new Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 675 Mobile Platform, Redmi Note 7 Pro is not just about how it looks or the kind of pictures it can take. The eight Kryo™ 460 cores on the Snapdragon 675 consist of two ARM Cortex-A76 and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores that make the SoC ideal for all users, whether they're Battle Royale gamers or social media buffs.

With two RAM variants — 4GB and 6GB — Redmi Note 7 Pro covers a large spectrum of users. With a wide spectrum of users come varying patterns of usage; Redmi Note 7 Pro ensures longevity with a P2i-coated body that gives it splash-resistant properties.

Redmi Note 7  Performance. Redesigned.

With a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE, Redmi Note 7 builds upon what Redmi Note has always stood for — reliability and all-round performance, but with a dash of style thrown in. Featuring the same Aura Design, 6.3-inch FHD+ display as Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7 is made to elevate the everyday smartphone experience.

Redmi Note 7 also marks the debut of a dual camera on a non-Pro Redmi Note family, with a 12MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup. Like its sibling, Redmi Note 7 also features a Gorilla Glass 5 covered body on the front and rear.

With the same 4000mAh battery, Redmi Note 7 gives  up to two days of battery life, with support for Quick Charge 4.0 for added convenience and the same P2i-coated body for added longevity.
