As year 2020 seems to be much better than 2019, Gigabyte is looking forward to maintain their leadership position among Indian market. Sunil Grewal, Director, GIGABYTE Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd., interacted recently with Telecom Today and shared his overall company’s journey and channel plans.
Q: How do you see the brand’s overall business growth in CY 2019?
A: The year 2019 was a very great business year for us and our team did a good job throughout the year. We explored the markets and created new business opportunities by developing the industry-leading products which strengthened our grip on the market. Our creative strategies always help us in running the business smoothly despite emerging challenges. We see huge opportunities in the major Indian cities like Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad as these cities are becoming the preferred destinations for gamers and content creators. We hope that in the coming future, the same kind of growth will spill across other parts of the country. The component market saw a good acceleration in the mid of 2019 so we catered the consumers with our wide range of products that offer unmatched features and performance. Due to the growing demand for high-end PCs and gaming peripherals among millennials, the market is expected to grow more in 2020.
Q: What will be your overall business growth or target revenue for CY 2020?
A: With new hopes and new joy, we are set to make this year 2020 an outstanding and beautiful year like never before. In the year 2020, we are planning to implement our new business roadmap in a quest to accelerate our growth journey. We will be entering the new emerging markets this year in order to extend our reach in the country. We will also work to connect with the new customers so that we can cater to them with our strong product portfolio. AORUS has also thrilled the industry with many innovative devices in 2019 and growing at rapid pace so we are expecting good growth in 2020 as well.
Q: What will be your channel strategy to drive substantial growth?
A: Our channel partners are the vital part of our success and we are very much focused on their growth. They have been working relentlessly for making our base strong and provide us the opportunities to extend our boundaries. In order to recognize their essential efforts, we regularly organize partner events to honor them and we also take them on foreign trips where they spend some quality time and enjoy the happy moments together. Gigabyte treats its channel partners like family and supports them in every possible way. We organize the training programs as well for our partner community to educate them about our products and market strategy. We will continue this approach in 2020 and will work towards bringing more value to our channel partners so that they keep growing with us.
