Fujifilm Announces Month Long Contest for Photography Enthusiasts

Fujifilm India announced a month-long contest to encourage brand enthusiasts and Fujifilm camera owners to participate and share their quarantine story with unique clicks/pictures captured exclusively on their Fujifilm camera.

For the first time in history, the whole world has been united against a common enemy: fighting COVID-19 from home. Photographers globally are braving the front lines to capture this new self-isolated reality—alien images of empty streets, the concealed faces of people wearing masks, etc. However, with experiments bound to home and their interior lives, new delicate studies of introspection and small gestures have emerged.

In order to celebrate the essence of World Photography Day, Fujifilm is offering its customers a chance to win a prize by sharing how they are working on their photography habits during isolation and are inspiring and encouraging others to stay positive and hold a modest outlook towards life. The theme of the contest is 'Creativity During Crises' and will be judged by Fujifilm X ambassadors Prashant Panjiar and Dinesh Khanna.

Commenting on the contest, Mr. Arun Babu, General Manager, Electronic Imaging and Optical Devices Division, Fujifilm India said, "We all are living through an extraordinary time and while our freedom to move has been limited but our freedom of expression is not. To encourage and bring out the photography enthusiasts at home, we have introduced this month-long contest. We are optimistic that it will inspire individuals to share their unique stories with the world and create a more engaging and creative space for young photography aspirants".

The company will provide the contest winner a XC 35mm f/2 lens worth INR. 16,999/- and 10 Fujifilm mug as a consolation prizes for the Still Photography Contest. The contest will be open to all Fujifilm camera users and will begin from 19 August for a month.
