Product Review: Tecno CAMON 16
Tecno is apparently one of the few smartphone brands that bring stylish and feature-loaded phones under mid-budget category. The brand has been so consistent in bringing affordable smartphones so far and CAMON series is primarily the flagship series by Tecno. Tecno CAMON 16 is the latest addition to this series and Tecno assures to offer the industry-leading features in this smartphone. Telecom Today reviewed this phone to share honest feedback about its overall features, camera, battery, and most important performance.
Unboxing
Apart from device you get all required accessories in the box which includes a charging adapter that comes with the impressive build quality. Along with this you get a micro USB charging cable, you are not getting Type-C cable in this box so here we are a little disappointed, but this will not be a big concern for buyers. Also, you get a transparent back cover, user manual, warranty card, and SIM ejector Pin in the box.
First Impression
Tecno CAMON 16 smartphone is probably one of the best smartphones in CAMON series if we talk about its design and build quality. You get a very nice curved and shining body that gives you a good hand feel. Also, it looks very premium, the body has really nice finishing on the rear side. So, it seems to offer good value under the budget price range.
Display
Tecno CAMON 16 comes equipped with a large 6.8-inch HD+ Dot-In-Display. You get 89.1% screen-to-body ratio which offers a good viewing experience. The content looks sharper and the quality of the content is really impressive due to the HD+ display.
Camera
The camera remains the key aspect in every smartphone and the brands try to deliver the best photography experience to users. Tecno CAMON 16 comes equipped with a powerful 64MP Ultra quad-camera setup. The camera is designed in the square shape and looks very amazing. In the camera setup, you get a 2MP depth control lens, 2MP Macro shot lens, 64MP primary camera, and an AI lens. The quality of pictures taken with CAMON 16 is detailed, sharper, and very bright. Tecno has provided 10x Zoom in the camera which helps you to capture the objects with great details. You can explore pro photography modes such as Night Portrait, Macro, Body-shaping, 10x Zoom, etc, or shoot perfect Slow-motion, video Bokeh, or 2K QHD videos for a memorable experience. While the unique Eye Autofocus feature, found on a few high-end smartphones and mostly DSLR cameras, enables one to stabilize focus around the eyes and makes the portraits sharp.
For selfie lovers, Tecno has given a 16 MP Dot-In-Selfie camera with which you will be able to click bright selfies. The phone consists a Super Night Shot mode that will help you to click the best selfies even in low light conditions. So the overall camera setup is really nice in the mid-budget segment and you can't get more at this price point.
Performance
Tecno CAMON 16 boasts MediaTek Helio G70 SoC processor which is a Hyper Engine Fast AI performer that is great for gaming and daily robust usage. The gaming becomes very easy when you get such a powerful processor and we played some heavy games but we didn't notice any performance issue or heat issues. You can do multi-tasking with CAMON 16 as we are really impressed with it's performance during the testing.
Price
TECNO CAMON 16 comes only in 4GB + 64GB storage option and you can buy this phone in two colors Purist Blue and Cloud White. This smartphone has all the leading features that you get in high-end phones but the best thing about this phone is its affordability. CAMON 16 is priced at Rs. 10,999 and it's quite suitable if you evaluate its specifications, so you are getting a pretty good deal.

The performance of this smartphone doesn't get affected while playing games or doing many tasks simultaneously. Apart from this, the camera is definitely an impressive part of this phone. The 64MP ka Ultra quad-camera helps you to click sharp and bright pictures. So overall it's been a quite good experience with Tecno CAMON 16 smartphone and we are impressed with this mid budget smartphone from Tecno.
