NewsPoint announced the launch of mini apps (services) including Music, spirituality, Cricket, Games, Astro, E-paper, videos Assistant and Viral News. The move further validates the company’s mission of becoming India’s one and only information & engagement platform.
In the first phase of the launch, 30% of Newspoint’s users are using these services every month and initial trends suggest ‘Music’ as the most popular mini app, followed by Games & Viral News while the ‘Cricket’ mini-app has the highest engagement during match days.
Mini app users engage with the NewsPoint app 3x as much every month as compared to those not using them so far. With the encouraging initial response to its mini apps content and customer loyalty program ‘Newspoint Tokens’, the company expects to further grow the app’s retention numbers along with overall time spent in-app.
